I was wounded in 1986 at the conclusion of the swearing-in ceremony for new soldiers at the Western Wall in Jerusalem. This was supposed to be a beautiful time. Instead, two terrorists threw three grenades into our group. One hit his chest, fell to the ground and exploded at my feet. I was very seriously wounded. Returned to the army to finish my service after a year and a half of recovery and still has over 100 pieces of shrapnel in his body.
